Antifederalists1.The anti federalists were strongly against the idea of a strong central government, fearing that the government would abuse their power and neglect the rights of the people.2. Samuel Adams, George Mason, James Monroe

Federlaists: 1.Federalist believed in a strong national government that could exert more power over the states. They wished to be able to tax the states to pay for Federal programs. 2. James Madison, Alexander Hamilton.
